Loss & Grief
The Last Time
The day Emerson died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Emerson was my sister. It changed me forever. I remember their advice like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Emerson when I visit the park. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
