The Hardest Lesson

I spent 11 years chasing a promotion. I worked 16 hours a day. I missed anniversaries. And then I had a health scare. I never felt so alive. I realized I had been climbing the wrong ladder. Now I I travel and write. It pays less but I sleep better at night.
