When I Met Reese

The day Reese died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Reese was my grandmother. Everything felt perfect. I remember their warm hugs like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Reese when I visit a coffee shop. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
