Loss & Grief
The Library Memory
The day Dakota died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Dakota was my grandfather. Everything felt perfect. I remember how they laughed like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Dakota when I visit a bookstore. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
