The Year I Said Goodbyeed

The day Sam died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Sam was my grandfather. We thought it would last forever. I remember their cooking like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Sam when I visit a train station. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
