Loss & Grief
The Day Everything Changed
The day Emerson died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Emerson was my grandfather. Everything felt perfect. I remember their cooking like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Emerson when I visit the beach. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
