Loss & Grief
The Day Everything Changed
The day Avery died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Avery was my aunt. I never felt so alive. I remember their cooking like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Avery when I visit a train station. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
