Loss & Grief
Where I Belong
The day Avery died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Avery was my brother. Everything felt perfect. I remember the way they said my name like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Avery when I visit a rooftop. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
