Loss & Grief
The Last Time
The day Sage died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Sage was my mother. We were so young and stupid. I remember how they laughed like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Sage when I visit a garden. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
