Loss & Grief
Before and After
The day Jamie died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Jamie was my mother. Everything felt perfect. I remember the way they said my name like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Jamie when I visit a bookstore. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
