The Train Station Memory

The day Harper died, the world didn't stop. The sun still rose. Birds still sang. But my world collapsed. Harper was my uncle. It changed me forever. I remember their advice like it was yesterday. Now I talk to Harper when I visit the beach. I know they can't hear me. But saying it out loud makes it feel real. Grief is love with nowhere to go.
