The Kindest Lesson

I spent 8 years chasing my dream. I worked 10 hours a day. I missed family dinners. And then I saw my father cry. We thought it would last forever. I realized I had been climbing the wrong ladder. Now I I travel and write. It pays less but I sleep better at night.
