The Day I Quit the Dream Job
I walked into my corner office with the skyline view and knew I was done. The job I'd fought seven years to get had turned me into someone I didn't recognize. I yelled at interns. I canceled dinner plans so often my wife stopped making them. I checked emails during my daughter's school play. The promotion felt like winning a prize you didn't want anymore. I handed in my resignation at 10 AM. By noon, I was sitting in a park, watching pigeons fight over a bagel. I've never been happier.
