My Dog Didn't Know I Was Leaving
The hardest part wasn't packing my bags or saying goodbye to my parents. It was the way Bruno looked at me when I walked out the door with my suitcase. He wagged his tail because he thought we were going for a walk. Dogs don't understand long distance. They don't know you're moving countries for a job. All they know is that you're leaving, and they don't know if you're coming back. I cried the whole way to the airport. It's been two years. I still dream about him waiting by the door.
