What They Taught Me

My grandmother was the strongest person I knew. We laughed until we cried. They taught me how to be kind. Every summer evenings, we would play chess. Now that they're gone, I find myself doing play chess alone, remembering. Family isn't just blood. It's the people who shape you without you even realizing it.
